The calm waters and palm-lined shore of Playa Hermosa beach with its array of beachfront restaurants is just a 5-minute drive down the hill. Playas del Coco is just around the bend and 12 minutes away. A 45 minute drive will get you to the surfing beach of Tamarindo. Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport (LIR) is a convenient 25-minute drive. Note: A 4x4 vehicle is recommended for exploring the area, though not required.

How do I get to Paraíso Sur?
We're located in the gated community of Mar Vista, in Playa Hermosa.
Do you offer airport transfers or rental car services?
Yes! We can arrange a private airport transfer from Liberia (LIR) airport. We also offer discounted rates with Adobe Rental Car, including airport pickup or car delivery to the house.
Is communication easy once I arrive?
Yes, we use WhatsApp for fast and effortless communication. Please download the app and contact our property manager, Ian, who is your main point of contact.

Yes, both Casa Sol and Casa Luna have high-speed Wi-Fi with strong connectivity throughout.
Is the water safe to drink?
Yes, the water at both properties is purified and safe to drink directly from the tap.
Is there air conditioning?
Yes, all rooms have mini-split AC units. Please conserve energy by turning them off when leaving and setting them no lower than 73°F (23°C).
Are laundry facilities available?
Yes, each property (Casa Sol and Casa Luna) has its own private pool, maintained daily.
What kitchen amenities are provided?
Our kitchens are fully equipped. You can also arrange for a pre-stocked kitchen service (fee + grocery cost) before your arrival.
Is there a BBQ grill?
Yes, an outdoor BBQ is available at each property.
Is breakfast service available?
Yes, our housekeeper, Becky, can prepare breakfast daily for your group. The food cost is extra, and arrangements can be made with Ian.
Are bath amenities provided?
Yes, bathrooms include hand soap, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, hair dryers, and black "Makeup Towels."
Is there a fitness center?
Yes, Casa Luna has a dedicated gym with a Peloton Bike and Peloton Tread, available to all Casa Luna and Paraíso Sur guests. Casa Sol has exercise equipment in the gameroom.

Is Paraíso Sur located in a safe area?
Yes, Paraíso Sur is in a gated community with 24-hour guard service. Each house also has its own gate and alarm system.
Are there security cameras?
Security cameras are located outside the property only.
During Your Stay
What wildlife can I expect to see?
You might spot monkeys, coatis, foxes, and many different tropical birds! Please observe them from a distance and do not feed wild animals.
What should I do if there's a power outage?
Our solar electricity systems provide backup during most outages. If a prolonged outage occurs, contact Ian. Flashlights are provided.
How do I dispose of trash?
Securely bag all trash and place it in the designated community bin near the exit to prevent attracting wildlife.
Are parties, commercial photography, or filming allowed?
No unauthorized parties, large gatherings, or commercial filming/photography are permitted without prior approval from property management.

Essential amenities like supermarkets, pharmacies, and banks are just a few minutes drive from Paraiso Sur.
What activities and excursions can I do?
Our local expert, Ian, can arrange private sailboat cruises, ATV tours, ziplining, private chefs, massages, nature tours, sportfishing, and more. We recommend booking in advance.
What's Playa Hermosa like?
Playa Hermosa ("Beautiful Beach") is a tranquil beach just a short drive away, great for swimming and water activities. We provide beach chairs, coolers, and towels.

What is the official currency of Costa Rica?
The official currency is the Costa Rican Colón (CRC).
Are US dollars accepted in Costa Rica?
Yes, US dollars (USD) are widely accepted, especially in tourist areas like Playa Hermosa. However, change will often be given in Colones, sometimes at a less favorable exchange rate. Using smaller USD bills ($5, $10, $20) is recommended.
Are credit cards widely accepted?

Where is the best place to exchange money?

What is the cancellation policy?
You'll receive a full refund for cancellations 30 days before arrival. Cancellations made 14 days before arrival will receive a 50% refund. Any cancellations under 14 days are non-refundable.
